Terms and Conditions:
- The referral campaign is open to all active SAMWUMED members.
- There is no entry fee to participate.
- Participating members indicate their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The opening date for referrals will be Monday, 20 October 2025.
- The closing date will be Sunday, 30 November 2025. After this date, no further referrals will qualify for reward.
- No responsibility can be accepted for referrals not received for whatever reason.
- The rules of the referral reward are as follows:
SWITCH YOUR FRIENDS TO SAMWUMED AND GET REWARDED:
Members of SAMWUMED are invited to share their colleague’s details with SAMWUMED. If the member’s referral successfully joins SAMWUMED, the member will be rewarded with a R50.00 voucher.
Starting Monday, 20 October 2025, the referral campaign details will be communicated to the full SAMWUMED member database held by the Scheme. At the end of the campaign, members who have successfully referred new members will be communicated to fulfill their reward allocation.
- The Referral and Reward Process is as follows:
- Existing members will click on a link and submit the details of colleagues who are eligible as local government municipality employees.
- When completing the Referral Form, members give consent to the collection, processing, and storage of their personal information by SAMWUMED. They also confirm that they have obtained the consent of the person they are referring.
- SAMWUMED will contact the leads, and if they successfully switch to SAMWUMED, the referring member will be rewarded.
- Reward is a R50.00 voucher for every Principal Member who switches to SAMWUMED.
- A SAMWUMED Scheme officer will notify the winners and facilitate the reward fulfilment process, on 31 January 2026.
- The Scheme’s decision regarding all matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- SAMWUMED reserves the right to cancel the campaign if circumstances outside its control arise.
