2 320 people contracted the COVID-19 virus whilst 165 others died in the past 24 hours.
A total of 48 478 people have died since the start of the pandemic, whilst 1 496 439 others have contracted the virus.

- Kwa-Zulu Natal – 14
- Mpumalanga – 4

COVID-19 Vaccine Update
President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Minister of Heath Zweli Mkhize, were among the first people
in South Africa to receive the Johnson & Johnson COVID -19 vaccine yesterday.
